Daytona’s first participation in the 24 hours of Le Mans dates back to 1971. The Americans from NART prepared the car using competition bodywork with numerous aluminum details and equipped with aerodynamic deflectors on the front. The car, driven by Grossmann and Chinetti Junior, performed brilliantly finishing in fifth place overall.
